Nandika Devarajan
Nandika is interested in the medical side of preparedness and has taken classes in how to manage physical health and become more prepared for emergencies. She also has an interest in climate change and the effects it has on our current disasters.

Viswa Karthic
Viswa is experienced with CERT and is a Police Explorer, where he strives to
make stronger connections between emergency responders and the public. He is also interested in school safety and preparedness.

Isabel Brown
Isabel is in interested in this dynamic field of emergency preparedness because it is not a one-solution-fits-all all ordeal. It allows her to adapt to various needs whether that be before, during, or after disasters. It also allows her to help somebody else feel safer if a disaster strikes. She communicates her presentation points clearly that can potentially save a life. And for that, she is blessed to be in this role.

Lily Yao
Lily is passionate about protecting the environment and those around her. As a City of Eugene Sustainability Commissioner and a Regional Leader intern with Our Future—a statewide, student-led Oregon climate justice network—she recognizes the intersection between climate change and disaster preparedness.

Naomi Robinson
Naomi’s experiences with wildfires and ice storms have driven her passion for emergency preparedness. As an active leader in youth preparedness, the Red Cross Club, and Teen CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), she plays a key role in coordinating and participating in disaster relief and emergency preparedness efforts within her school and community.

Maggie Cothron
Hailing from Alaska, a state with a diverse and dynamic environment, Maggie has witnessed firsthand the impact of natural disasters and climate change on communities. During her term, she is committed to promoting and educating the public from all walks of life on emergency preparedness and mitigation.

Olivia Okeahialam
Olivia is passionate about ensuring that people living in transient and multifamily units have access to reliable disaster preparedness plans. Her interest in emergency management stems from wanting to help communities that are often overlooked when it comes to safety and preparedness. Over the council year, she hopes to create a plan that helps these communities be better prepared for emergencies, no matter where they live.

Alison Pitman
Alison’s passion for emergency preparedness emerges from her ever-growing interest in the medical field. She aspires to reach a vast number of youth and adults by sharing the importance of being prepared for emergencies not only for yourself but for the safety of those around you. She brings the perspective of an athlete and intends on using this to share common ground with others her age and effectively share the importance of taking CPR, First Aid, and more. Alison wants to make a large impact on those who may otherwise not have the opportunity to learn the basics of emergency preparedness.

Paige McKenzie
Paige is a driven student athlete with a passion for helping others, working daily to fulfill her lifelong goal of working in health care. Alongside her passion for health care, Paige is dedicated to educating her community so they can better prepare for emergencies. Paige got into emergency preparedness through HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) and her high school EMT program. She is a strong proponent of CPR skills and competed in CPR at the international HOSA conference last year.

Dylan Gupta
Dylan is knowledgeable about fire disasters in his area and wanting to learn more about being involved in fire management. He strives to make sure his community can be confident in intense times by implementing safe strategies. He is excited to see what impacts he will make for his community in the future and use what he learns being a part of FEMA Region 10 YPC.

Samantha Bishop
Samantha hopes to develop leadership skills and learn more about preparedness and disaster response during her time on the YPC. Additionally, she hopes to start a Teen CERT program and a Teen HAM radio club in her community and school. Additionally, she is interested in learning more about wildfire and earthquake preparedness as these are two of the biggest hazards for her community.

Sreeprada Konduru
Sreeprada is interested in emergency management since completing her Global Politics project about the effectiveness of local wildfire solutions and wanting to bring those solutions into her community. With the effects of climate change becoming more prominent over the last few years, it is especially important to spread the knowledge we have about emergency preparedness.

Amelia Boman
Amelia’s interests in disaster preparedness are helping people get to safety before the disaster hits and getting people certain things like an emergency kit and first aid kit.

Ann Joby
Ann first learned about emergency preparedness when she participated in the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program at her school. Through this program, she gained hands-on experience in crisis management and operations. She is passionate about the medical component of emergency readiness and making preparedness resources accessible so that anyone can easily prepare.

Censi Pritchett
Censi is very passionate about disaster preparedness because she wants to ensure that everyone can be prepared for anything and stay safe. Her goal is to educate as many people as she can not only as a part of the YPC but also in the future years. She has been involved in emergency management things since she was 3 and throughout all of those years she had continued to love this topic more and more.

Mackenzie Lee
Mackenzie's main interest is educating others about disaster preparedness. She especially hopes to reach those in her local area and those of similar age. She can't wait to continue to learn and to teach others about emergency disaster preparedness

Truett Dupuis
Truett’s interest in disaster preparedness began when he became aware of the area’s Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) and the potential consequences of related earthquakes, floods and other anticipated impacts. Truett has his Ham radio license to be an effective part of an adequate communication response. He is also passionate about having his family be prepared for 14 days in case of CSZ. Truett spent his first year on the YPC educating his local car enthusiast community about the importance of car emergency kits.

Yuwan Luo
Yuwan’s passion for emergency preparedness began in her freshman CERT class. She now serves as sergeant for Police Explorers and volunteers at CERT drills with other members in the area. Dedicated and inspired, Yuwan is ready to learn more about FEMA and contribute to the preparedness community.
